Rewind

Oh, hello.  Did you have a lovely Halloween? I dressed as myself and hid in the back room from 5-7pm, ignoring any stray knockings on the front door.  Living on the fringe of sketch, I figured our mini-villa had a 50/50 chance of seeing a cute Halloween costume (preferably a baby skunk, or maybe a witch) or getting robbed.

I mostly stray on the safe side.

Fall

Fall has fallen over Nashville. What I mean to say is that fall keeps falling…into the cold frame.

Flashback.

You missed a lot.  Why haven’t you been keeping up with my life? Oh, wait.

What You Missed Last Week

  • Raced a race (13.1) on no training.  PRed and sub-2 houred it. (<—- This is shock, not brag) Now I have to ask myself –why I would ever train in the first place? Hmmm. To make it less painful.  Yeah, that works.
  • One of my favorite friends came to visit! Three days and too much homemade pizza, wine, and classical guitar later, I sent the spirit of friendship on his way back to Carolinaland. Why can’t my friends live next door??? (You three know who you are.)  College was easy in that way.
  • Work.
  • Carved a pumpkin of Nebraska and Iowa, my home places.  Too cool for school. That’s why I’m working full-time.

Evidence of What You Missed Last Week:

Homemade Pizza Dough

Rolling dough with a wine bottle? Yeah…

So you might be thinking— yikes! Scary witch lady with tangled hair, holding pumpkin yuck. Well, nope, that’s just me. Not dressed up. Just normal.

Stupid Pose

Post-race. I think I am trying to be funny in this picture?

Family Photo. Ha.

More garden updates in the looming future.  I recently received a request to talk about  taking care of houseplants during the winter, so watch for that.

And…I’m going to leave you with some pumpkin seeds.

Pumpkin Seeds

Best costume 2012?

I was hoping someone would dress up like this guy.

Be honest– how much candy did you eat this Halloween?
